snake-eyes, milk-fish

a 1-page dice-based rpg offering different fantasy scenarios to role-play.

play as a mermaid, a mecha pilot, a fairy queen, or a god! there are four scenarios total, but due to the dice mechanic, in every round both players get to be the central character ("protagonist") of a different scenario. for instance, if P1 rolls a 1, they are the "protagonist" of the mermaid scenario, but if P2 rolls a 4, they are the "protagonist" of the mecha scenario. 

i wanted there to be a sense of relativity when it came to who was the protagonist of which scene, and i also left the scenario predicaments open enough that even if P1 is dice-assigned the mermaid twice, that doesn't mean they'll "answer" the predicament the same way both times.

all the scenarios are weighted, especially the "finale" scenario of snake-eyes (two 1s) or milk-fish (two 6s).

snake-eyes is considered the most unlucky hand you can get. but a snake as an animal is a keen predator, and uniquely powerful. i assigned what is considered the best hand, two sixes, as a symbolic "milk-fish," which even just by sound feels like a very weak and common prey fish.

that represents the unlucky god scenario where snake-eyes represents the predatory power and misfortune of the god and milk-fish represents the supreme good fortune of the best friend character, who is in a prey animal position.
